The ground was a bit soggy underfoot for the Christmas Eve mixed stableford at Frinton GC, but that didn’t dampen the competitors’ spirits.
Tom Kennedy came through to win it with 39 points. Two men scored 37 points, with Paul Card awarded second place on count back, just ahead of Liam Wilson.
Golf Courses are allowed to stay open under the new rules with some restrictions. So, on Boxing Day there was the traditional cross-country event where the course is laid out in a rather unconventional way.
Gerry Duffy was the winner with 26 points, Geoff Taylor was second on count back with 23 points and Ash Long placed third, also with 23 points.
