Frinton GC members enjoyed a sunny, though windy week leading up to the second May Bank Holiday with lots of competitive events.

HAMILTON SCRATCH and ALFREDY SYMES MEDAL
The men played in the Hamilton Scratch and Alfred Symes medal on Saturday. The scratch winner was Bradley Diplock with a score of 74. Mark Grover was in second place with a close 75.

Mark Gover won the Alfred Symes medal on count back with a score of 70 nett, with Ash Long awarded second.

FLATEAU CUP
The ladies played for the Flateau Cup on Tuesday, a medal with a handicap limit of 28. Sarah Fryer came out on top, winning it with a score of 74 nett. Angela Low and Jemma Jackson both finished with 78, with Angela awarded second place on count back.


STABLEFORDS
The scores were remarkable in the last Friday of the month stableford on the Havers Course, open to all members. Marie Gibson won it with an amazing 45 points. David Williams was second with 42, and Roger Deeble placed third with 39 points. Sarah Fryer had another good day, in fourth place with 37.

Finally, Kirby Course members played a stableford on the 22nd of May, open to both men and women. Keith Pryke was the overall winner with an outstanding 47 points. Dave Wood was second overall with 44 points. Mike Buitekant was third on count back with 38. Jan Beattie was the best lady with 33 points.

Morning . Greens cut and ironed Holes changed and in the middle , back , front, sequence. Bunkers raked. Mowing completed PITCH MARKS are becoming an issue again, please can every effort be made to repair yours as you wait on the green. The greens are a little softer after 18mm of rain last Friday, so you are more likely to leave a pitch Mark. Many thanks .
