UNIVERSITY SHIELD
Frinton men played for the University Shield on Saturday. It was another fine summery day, and the scores reflected the weather and course conditions.
Frazier Maleary won the medal with a great score of 64 nett. Jamie Hearn was just behind him with 65, and three men finished with 67 with Jake Wells being awarded third on count back.

GRANNIES’ CUP
Grandmothers played for the Grannies’ Cup on Thursday. This year’s winner was Sarah Taylor with 22 stableford points over 10 holes. Two grannies finished with 20 points, and Angela Low was awarded second place on count back, just ahead of Diane Morgan.

PRESENTATION OF LADIES’ 2020 TROPHIES
Last year’s Lady Captain, Viv Stansfield, presided over the presentation of 2020 trophies at a ceremony on Monday, delayed from last December, followed by afternoon tea. About half the recipients were able to attend. The big winners were Claire Vaughan and Jemma Jackson, with three trophies each. Junior Captain Chelsey Duffy was Lady Club Champion.
