HI-LO CHAMPIONSHIP
It was an all-Frinton final for the Essex County Ladies Hi-Lo championship event, held at Rochford Hundred on Sunday.
The match was tight all the way round, and all four ladies played well. But in the end Ginny Richardson and Caroline Gard beat Sarah Fryer and Louise Wood on the 16th hole in a downpour of rain and hail. It was a memorable day.

VANDENBURG CUP
Frinton GC men played for the Vandenburg Cup on Sunday, an 18-hole single stableford with a handicap limit of 24. In spite of the strong winds, the scoring was good with Jak Hanmore winning it with 43 points. Ed Glease came in second with 41 points and Ian Robinson was awarded third on count back with 40 points, just ahead of Gus Rusbridge.

LADIES GREENSOMES
Most of the ladies beat the rain on Tuesday, managing to stay dry for their Greensomes competition. Sarah Fryer and Barbara Thorpe won it with 42 stableford points. Sheran Harding and Audrey Joshua were just behind them with 41 points and third place on count back went to Caroline Gard and Michele Lawton with 39.
