The opening event of the Coastal Tour was staged on a freezing day at Frinton Golf Club.
23 Juniors played the Havers course and 31 played on the Kirby course in the Cubs Team event. Each of our venue clubs, Frinton, Harwich, Millers Barn and Colne Valley had teams playing with Colne Valley coming out Team winners with Jake Hesketh from the victorious team returning the best 9 hole score of 43.

The Cubs event is all about the Juniors in squad coaching having the chance to put their skills they have learnt into practice and representing their club at a very young age.

The main Tour event on the Havers Course has been split into handicap categories this year with Jake Wells from Frinton winning the Low handicap category and Callum Pennock from Colne Valley taking the higher handicap category.

The best girls score from the day was from Charley Hatley who is also from Colne Valley. Thomas Mead gave Colne Valley a really strong showing taking the gross prize with a score of 79 winning on Countback from Jake wells.

The Coastal Tour is all about giving juniors the playing opportunities, socialising with other junior golfers and most importantly having fun. The next event is at Colne Valley in April where another sizeable field is expected.
