Just under 50 juniors took part in the latest Coastal Tour event with juniors of all ages and abilities playing in different events on both courses at Frinton.

There was the 18 hole main tour event, a 10 hole competition on the Havers course and, to complete the day, a 9 hole interclub match on the Kirby course.

The wind really tested the players but Colne Valley's Micah Blowers continued his superb season with victory in the 18 hole event. Samuel Bruce who also plays at Colne Valley showed he could handle the wind with a good score of 36 points to take runner up spot. 3rd Place went to home player Jamie Sach who again was close to breaking 100 for the first time.

The other prize winners for the day included Tom Mead for the best gross score, Abbie Henshall won best girl and the drawn team event was won by Mason Barningham, Micah Blowers and Jamie Sach.

In the 10 hole competition Charlie Rusbridge scored a really good 10 hole score to take the winners prize, closely followed by Bailee Taylor.

On the Kirby Course, Frinton won the team event with Colne Valley coming runners up, Edward Reeves won the best individual score with an impressive 44.

Thanks once again to all sponsors of the Tour AJS Energy, MAB Roofing, Frinton Tarmacadam and Paving, Smiths Service Centre and Jamesons Accountants, we really appreciate your support.

The Tour now moves onto Harwich Golf Club on the 28th July.
