Ladies Stableford and Poker Circle Spring Meeting

Article Published: Monday 15th May 2017 20:51:30 pm
It was a good turnout for the ladies stableford last week. Although the north wind prevailed, it felt more spring-like out on the course, and the ball was rolling nicely.
Two ladies achieved 35 points, with vice captain Margaret Dean awarded first place on count back, ahead of Ginny Richardson. Several ladies finished with 33 points, but third place went to Caroline Gard.

The Poker Circle held its Spring Meeting on the weekend. The format was a 4BBB.
Most of the day was bright with a bit of wind, and the scores reflected the weather and the fine condition of the course.
The winning combination was veteran Alec Rowley and youngish Luke Nokes with 43 points.
Peter Irwin and Harry Sanderson were awarded second place on count back, ahead of Rodney Holder and Brian Cordery.
Notably, Ian Chamberlain finished with an eagle 3 on the 18th.
