Marilyn Clarke hosted her Lady Captainís Day at Frinton GC last week. It was a beautiful sunny day, but of course there was the Frinton wind to contend with which made the going that much more difficult. On the Havers Course there were 2 first prize winners based on low and high handicaps, and they were Sheila Attrill and Angela Vaughan, both with 39 stableford points. Sheran Harding was overall second with 36 points. And Julia Walshaw took third with 35 points. Over on the Kirby Course, Jean Spencer was the morning winner with 28 points.
The afternoon format was teams of 4 with 2 stableford scores to count over 10 holes. The winning team were Angela Vaughan, Claire Vaughan, Diane Gerrard and Joan Horner with 50 points. Marie Ellis, Sheila Attrill, Angela Low and Ginny Richardson were in second place with 48 points.
