Twenty women turned out to compete for the prestigious Holloway Rose Bowl, a medal competition with a handicap limit of 35.
Although the weather wasn’t terribly conducive, Diane Gerrard took home the silverware with a nett score of 77. Mary Johnson was in second place with 83 nett. And Marie Ellis was just behind her in third with 84.
The traditional Tendring Gents v The Ship golfing societies match was played on Saturday. It was a close one, but the Gents eventually won it 5/4.
