Steve Phillips won the Veteranís Cup on Saturday, a stableford competition for over 60ís with a handicap limit of 24. He scored 39 points and won on count back, just ahead of Harry Sanderson.
Three men were on 37 points, with Tom Kennedy awarded third place.

The ladies played a threesomes waltz last week, where various combinations of scores count.
Captain Marilyn Clarke, Angela Vaughan and Louise Wood won it with 62 points.
Three groups finished with 59 points, with second place awarded on count back to Val Nicholls, Jan McLellan and Margaret Dean.
Third place went to Barbara Thorpe, DebbieTanner, and Ginny Richardson.

In the Harris Bowl competition, Frinton ladies were victorious over Benton Hall, 5 to nil at home.

The juniors played for the Graythorne Cup on the Kirby Course a few weeks back. Harvey Harrison was the winner with 24 stabelford points over 9 holes. Ed Ansell was awarded second place on count back with 20 points.
