Lady Captainís Charity stableford

The ladies played in the Lady Captainís Charity stableford on their day. Marilyn Clarkeís charity is the Little Havenís Hospice, the only childrenís hospice in Essex. Again, the weather was superb, and playing conditions couldnít have been better. Angela Vaughan won it with a score of 34 points. Tricia Hamilton was in second place on count back with 33 points, just ahead of Angela Low and Ginny Richardson.

Frinton GC men vied for the University Shield on Sunday in bright sunshine and summer like conditions. The competition format is a medal with a maximum handicap of 24. The scores reflected the excellent course conditions. Nick Brown won it with 64 nett. Second place went to Andy Hipkin with a score of 68. Both menís handicaps were reduced by 1 shot. Captain Simon Martin-Redman was in third place with 69 nett.
