Frinton GC members saw out 2018 in style

Frinton GC members saw out 2018 in style with a 4 Clubs and a Putter event on the 30th of December.
All Havers Course members were eligible to play, and it was a most popular event with a full field.

Three men finished with respectable scores of 37 stableford points, showing that 5 clubs will usually suffice. David Partridge was awarded first place on count back, ahead of Brian De’ath and Mark Flanagan. Sarah Taylor had the best score of the ladies with 26 points.

And the first competition of the new year was a Saturday stableford.
It was a murky day, very cold and damp. Nonetheless Mark Doyle scored a rousing 40 points to win it. Glenn Maleary was just behind him with 39 points in second place. And Stephen Phillips was awarded third place on count back with 36 points, just ahead of Phillip Townsend.
